CODEY APPOINTS WEINBERG TO FILL VACANCY ON SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE
TRENTON – Senate President Richard J. Codey (D-Essex) today announced the appointment of Senator Loretta Weinberg to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Senator Weinberg will fill the vacancy that will be created when Senator John H. Adler (D-Cherry Hill) leaves to join Congress and current committee member Senator Paul A. Sarlo (D-Bergen, Passaic, Essex) ascends to Senator Adler’s position as Judiciary Committee Chair.

TRENTON – Senate President Richard J. Codey (D-Essex) today announced the appointment of Senator Paul A. Sarlo (D-Bergen, Passaic, Essex) as the new Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee to fill the vacancy that will be left when Senator John H.Adler (D-Cherry Hill) leaves to join Congress.
Senator John Adler, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, says there is nothing he can do about a bad appointee to the state Parole Board. Respectfully, here are two things that Adler can and should do immediately to help rid the board of an unqualified appointee.

Middlesex County Democrats voted overwhelmingly to suppprt Joseph Vas for a third term at their convention tonight. Vas, the Mayor of Perth Amboy, defeated Woodbridge veterinarian Barry Adler by 139 votes, 200-61. Incumbent John Wisniewski was renominated by a wide margin, receiving 261 votes.
