AS ELECTION DAY NEARS, REILLY AND DOHERTY KEEP GETTING CASH FROM JOE ROBERTS
AND THE DEMOCRAT PARTY BOSSES
CAMPAIGN WARCHEST PAID FOR BY NORCROSS MACHINE PROVES DOHERTY AND REILLY ARE
NO ‘REFORMERS’
Atlantic Highlands & Wall NJ: The most recent release of campaign finance reports demonstrates that Matt Doherty and Jim Reilly continue to be the favorites of the McGreevey-Norcross-Roberts Democrat machine.
"As the Asbury Park Press made clear in our endorsement, our opponents cannot fix the mess in Trenton because they are part of the problem," said Assemblyman Steve Corodemus. "The campaign of Matt Doherty and Jim Reilly is
bought and paid for by the McGreevey-Norcross Democrat machine in Trenton."
"Matt Doherty and Jim Reilly are being heavily funded by the Democrat leadership because those party bosses know these guys will maintain the status quo," said Assemblyman Sean Kean. "The Democrat leadership knows that if Steve and I are re-elected we will continue to fight them for the ethics reforms and property tax relief they are refusing to provide."
Doherty and Reilly have raised $695,246 for their joint committee in addition to the $116,362 for Jim Reilly's committee and the $169,575 Matt Doherty's committee. And where, Monmouth County voters might ask, is this money coming from?
Here is a partial list of sources in their latest campaign finance report:
-- $364,467 from the New Democratic Assembly Leadership PAC controlled by Majority Leader Joe Roberts, the hand-picked choice of Democrat Party boss George Norcross to be the next Speaker.
-- $10,000 from the election fund of Assemblywoman Nilsa Cruz Perez, Joe Roberts' running-mate in Camden.
-- $16,200 from Democrat State Chairwoman Bonnie Watson Coleman.
Doherty and Reilly had received hundreds of thousands of dollars in contributions from Democrat machine sources already identified in their previous campaign finance reports. When all is said and done Doherty and
Reilly will have spent more than one million dollars in their quest to solidify George Norcross' grip on power.
Corodemus and Kean raised approximately $300,000 from various sources over two years, while Doherty and Reilly had that amount dumped into their campaign in one big money drop from Camden County.
Worse, Doherty and Reilly are using this wheeled money to fund a negative media campaign that makes misleading accusations against Corodemus and Kean.
