By Jason ButkowskiADLER: CONTINUE THE FIGHT AGAINST PUBLIC CORRUPTION AND HIGHER TAXES
TRENTON - Senator John H. Adler today made the following comment after Governor Corzine signed the bill he sponsored in the Senate, A-17/S-9, to streamline teaching mandates and school procedures.
"It's all good if it enables us to fight public corruption and find more ways to contain property taxes."
Senator Adler said that in the interests of maintaining a statewide focus on rooting out corruption and finding long-range property tax reform to help working families, he did not object to the Governor's conditional veto to re-instate teaching mandates for Columbus Day, Commodore Barry Day, Veterans Day, Memorial Day and Presidents Day.
Senator Adler, D-Cherry Hill, served as Senate Chairman of the Special Joint Committee on Public School Funding Reform which crafted the bill in conjunction with other measures designed to eliminate bureaucratic waste and improve learning opportunities for children.
