Star-Ledger picks Obama, McCain

The Newark Star-Ledger endorsed Barack Obama and John McCain in its Sunday edition.

“We firmly believe this is a moment in the nation's history unlike any other, one that re quires a president who is not just competent but who can in spire. That is why we endorse Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination for president,” the editors write.

“While McCain's conservative credentials run deep, and some counter to this newspaper's preferences, his record as senator from Arizona demonstrates that he has long been on the sensible side of his party on key challenges facing the nation. McCain's pragmatic stands on the economy, Iraq, immigration and the environment bode better for the nation than those of the other leading Republican contender, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.”

What a Surprise!

Wow . . . now there's one I couldn't have predicted . . .

Of course the Star-Ledger, being a big-time, blue-state, liberal  Dem-loving newspaper would endorse the strongest, most liberal Dem candidate and the least-electable GOP candidate.

I am a registered Republican.  If Joystick John somehow blinds and fools enough of the GOP faithful with all that war-hero/strong leader garbage, I'm going to follow Ann Coulter's course of action . . . I'll campaign for Hillary Clinton and vote for her.  In other words, if Republicans were smart, they'd vote for Democrats . . .

Why not? If i have to choose between two big-spending, war mongering, economic-illiterate liberal fascists, I might as well choose the one is telling me the truth about what she ACTUALLY believes in . . . t least we'll know where the train is coming from when it runs us over.
