Peter Boyce (www.BoyceYourChoice.com), the Constitution Party candidate for Congress NJ-2 has received an 'A-rating' in this year's Gun Owners of America Congressional Voters Guide. Boyce whole-heartedly believes in and supports the wisdom the Founding Fathers used in creating the 2nd Amendment.
"The Second Amendment is quite clear the word 'people' means people and the word 'infringed' means infringed," explains Boyce. "A major argument against privately owned firearms is based on the meaning of the word 'people.' Those who assert the word refers to only military/police personnel and not private citizens ignore the fact that the word 'people' in the First Amendment, if so interpreted, would mean that only the military or police would have freedom of speech, press, religion, etc. We know that this is obviously not the case."
Following the inspiration of the Founding Fathers, Boyce believes, "The right of the people to be well-armed means those who like to target shoot may target shoot, those who like to hunt may hunt, and those who wish to defend themselves, their loved ones, and their property from those who would do them harm have a God-given right to defend themselves."
For Constitutionalists such as Peter Boyce, the Second Amendment doesn't stop at hunting and self-defense. "The purpose of the Second Amendment is primarily intended to be the last bastion of freedom in the event our government turns against the American people," said Boyce. "The Second Amendment is the final repository of freedom this side of God's Divine Intervention."
Boyce's stance on Constitutional matters sets him apart from his opponents in the 2nd District. With the incumbent's 41-48% constitutional-voting record in Congress over the past 14 years, Boyce is not surprised that the incumbent's rating from GOA (www.gunowners.org) is an average "C." "For all the good Frank LoBiondo has done in office, Frank could do much better if he would just fully commit himself to upholding the U.S. Constitution and not 'stay in the middle' with one eye on the issues and the other on re-election." said Boyce.
The Constitution Party (www.ConstitutionParty.com) works on a grassroots level to field strong men and women candidates dedicated to upholding the law of the land, the U.S. Constitution. Peter Boyce is prepared to serve as one of those strong men. "Newly elected Congressmen go to Washington with the 'good intentions' of getting along with their fellow Congressman, the Party bosses, and the Major Media. Soon they find themselves getting along so well, that they no longer represent the people who sent them there or the Constitution they swore a solemn oath to. I have no such intention of getting along," said Boyce. "If by God's Grace I am elected, I'm going to Washington to pick a fight every time I see the Constitution not being strictly adhered to. I expect I'll be a very busy Congressman."
