Woodbury, NJ (July 16, 2008) - Gloucester County Republican Executive Committee Chair Loran Oglesby called on Freeholder Warren Wallace to issue his five page Defense Manifesto to the general public today. On Sunday, July 13, the Gloucester County Times published portions of Freeholder Wallace's Defense Manifesto. The portions that were published did not cover all the allegations made against him by a federal monitor's report two years ago. On Monday GOP Freeholder candidates Phyllis Scapellato and Larry Wallace issued a statement calling on Freeholder Wallace "to bring clarity to the situation." Freeholder Wallace has yet to respond. "Two days ago our candidates gave Freeholder Wallace the opportunity to put this issue behind him and move on to ‘a vigorous debate of the issues' it is now time he takes them up on their offer." said Gloucester County GOP Chair Loran Oglesby. Oglesby continued, "Considering the Gloucester County Times article did not address the incident that led to Freeholder Wallace's UMDNJ office being raided by the FBI, ‘a tipster,' according to reports, who ‘dialed a hotline' and said ‘the secretary for Warren Wallace was shredding documents' important to an investigation, I think the fair thing to do is for Freeholder Wallace to release his five page Defense Manifesto to the voters of Gloucester County. If his Party is unwilling to help him release his Defense Manifesto by posting it on their website our county organization will help him do the right thing and post it, unedited, on GloucoGOP.com." "If Freeholder Wallace is afraid of us editing his Defense Manifesto I am willing to discuss a compromise offer," Oglesby stated. "I will meet him privately, review the Defense Manifesto then, acting in a similar fashion as his former UMDNJ secretary, our Gloucester County Republican Executive Committee Secretary will act on her own accord and shred the document." # # # Visit http://www.gloucogop.com/ about the Gloucester County Republican Executive Committee.
