Zimmer fails to distance himself from skullduggery
Florham Park, NJ (April 17, 2008) – US Senate candidate Dick Zimmer was quoted by Matt Friedman of PolitickerNJ.com as saying, “Mark Sheridan is representing the vacancy committee on the Unanue campaign. I’m not a party to this case.”
Zimmer is trying to distance himself from an obviously sullied attempt to circumvent the electoral process.
Dan Gallic, campaign manager for Pennacchio for US Senate, said, "Zimmer would have us believe that his left hand doesn't know what his right hand is doing but that is preposterous. His legal counsel, Mark Sheridan, filed papers on Wednesday notifying the court that he is representing both Unanue and Zimmer. For Zimmer to deny this fact raises several serious questions. Does Dick Zimmer think the process has been compromised? Does he believe associating himself with his own counsel is bad PR?"
"What's it going to be, Dick? Were you in the lawsuit prior to your announcement or not?" continued Gallic. "After the rejection by his own home county last night I'd be running for cover too."
