Pennacchio calls on Murtha to apologize
Pennacchio: “According to Mr. Murtha’s logic Frank Lautenberg should be retiring."
Florham Park, NJ (April 16, 2008) – State Senator and US Senate candidate “Jersey Joe” Pennacchio said Congressman John Murtha should apologize for his ridiculous attack on Senator John McCain.
US Representative John Murtha said today that John McCain is too old to be president.
Responding to Murtha’s remarks Joe Pennacchio said, “Age certainly didn’t slow Mr. Murtha when he pursued the House majority leader post and age has definitely not slowed Senator McCain. Murtha should issue an immediate apology.”
“According to Mr. Murtha’s logic Frank Lautenberg should be retiring rather than running for re-election,” Pennacchio added. “Using Mr. Murtha’s logic I should be preparing for a general election campaign against Rob Andrews.”
“Perhaps Mr. Murtha’s ridiculous attack on Senator McCain is an indication that the only person slowing down with age is Jack Murtha,” Pennacchio said.
Joe Pennacchio is a New Jersey State Senator representing the 26th Legislative District.
