February 23, 2009; Franklin Township - Former Franklin Township mayor Dave Ferrucci and former township committeemen Pat Dougherty and Lou Moffa joined a cadre of elected officials and former GOP candidates in calling for GCREC Chairwoman Loran Oglesby to resign immediately.Former mayor Dave Ferrucci said, "Many people have tried to help Loran Oglesby, myself included, however she is not receptive to any opinions other than her own. She has never won an election, yet she won't listen to a room full of successful political leaders offering advice. She should have stepped down voluntarily after last year's election. It's time for Ms. Oglesby to resign and allow the party to get some new leadership in place and move forward.""The issue here is a lack of leadership," former township committeeman Pat Dougherty said. "Speaking from experience I can tell you she offers no help to the municipal organizations. In 2005 I lost my seat on the township committee by three votes. Was Loran Oglesby anywhere to be seen when we were checking for voting irregularities? The answer is no. She needs to resign and our party needs a proven leader to take charge now.""Loran Oglesby has provided no leadership," former township committeeman Lou Moffa stated. "In seven years as a township committeeman and all my years with the Franklin Township Republicans Oglesby has done nothing but come to a few Republican meetings and attempt to act like a cheerleader. She is a fraud and needs to step down immediately if there is going to be any future for the Republican Party in Gloucester County."-end-

“She has already chosen the interests of the insurance industry over the health care needs of working people, she took millions from Wall Street as the economy went into a meltdown, and now she wants to purchase a job in Congress at a time when so many have lost their jobs because of the actions of big bankers and others." -- Monmouth County Democrats spokesman Mike Mangan, on Republican Diane Gooch, who is challenging U.S. Rep.
