STRATEN: MCCAIN PICK OF PALIN SHOWS REPUBLICANS ARE READY TO MAKE REAL CHANGE
By Roland StratenPaterson, NJ-Republican businessman and Eighth District Congressional candidate Roland Straten enthusiastically praised the choice of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to become the nation's first female Vice President.
"This is an exciting moment for the Republican Party. John McCain has picked a running mate who will bring new energy and new voters to our party," Straten said.
Straten noted Governor Palin's record as a reformer in Alaska as important to bringing change and real solutions to Washington. "Sarah Palin's record of pushing aggressive economic and energy development in her home state while confronting political corruption makes her the woman we need to help lead our nation with John McCain," said Straten.
Straten concluded, "On the issues of cutting taxes and making America energy independent, Sarah Palin is a leader who I would be proud to work with as a Member of Congress."
