ENGLEWOOD - Englewood resident and former Mayor Sondra Greenberg registered a complaint against Charles "Ken" Zisa with the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission ("ELEC") for lack of disclosure of attorney fees. Her letter to ELEC dated March 13, 2007 states: "I am writing to you today because I am deeply concerned after reviewing Charles "Ken" Zisa's ELEC reports since October of 2005."

ENGLEWOOD - Englewood resident and former Mayor Sondra Greenberg registered a complaint against Charles "Ken" Zisa with the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission ("ELEC") for lack of disclosure of attorney fees. Her letter to ELEC dated March 13, 2007 states: "I am writing to you today because I am deeply concerned after reviewing Charles "Ken" Zisa's ELEC reports since October of 2005."

Greenberg has been diligently watching Zisa's ELEC reports since October 2005 when Zisa was embroiled in a bitter fight with Loretta Weinberg for the District 37 State Senate seat vacated by Senator Byron Baer. The Weinberg/Zisa Special Election resulted in a lengthy court battle in September and October of 2005 in which both Weinberg and Zisa enlisted the services of attorneys.

Weinberg listed the payment of attorney fees on her ELEC report, but to date Zisa has failed to do so. According to court papers, Zisa enlisted the legal services of Gerald Krovatin of Krovatin Associates as well as attorney Richard E. Salkin, who has a private law practice. Greenberg's letter asks: "During the trial Ken Zisa was represented by many attorneys including Gerald Krovatin and Richard Salkin. In none of his ELEC reports does he file a single cost from his attorneys. How can this be possible?"

She further states that she has attached all of Zisa's ELEC reports to date, as well as news articles and profiles of his attorneys. She asks that the NJ Election Law Enforcement Commission investigate the matter--specifically why none of his attorney expenses, including filings, out of pocket and the like do not appear on Zisa's reports as paid or in-kind contributions.

Greenberg goes on to state that "In fact, Mr. Salkin donates money to him (Zisa) on October 23, 2006 for a total of $750.00." She also notes that Zisa had a fundraiser at Regina's Restaurant in Teaneck in November 2006, yet there is no payment to the restaurant for that event, in-kind or otherwise.
