Born 1912
96-year-old Clifford Hansen is America's oldest living former U.S. Senator.  He was the Governor of Wyoming before his election to the U.S. Senate in 1966.  He retired after two terms and his seat was filled by Alan Simpson.  Hansen's grandson, Matt Mead, served as U.S. Attorney under President George W. Bush and was a candidate for a vacant U.S. Senate seat last year.  He's thinking about running for Governor in 2010.
