LAUTENBERG STATEMENT ON TOMORROW'S HEARING ON NOMINATION OF LISA JACKSON TO HEAD EPA
Washington, D.C - Today, Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) issued the following statement in anticipation of tomorrow's hearing on the nomination of Lisa Jackson to head the Environmental Protection Agency:
"At a critical moment like this, the Environmental Protection Agency needs the kind of bold, decisive and innovative leadership Lisa Jackson will provide. From fighting global warming to improving air and water quality to cleaning up Superfund sites, our environment faces major challenges, and Lisa Jackson is the right person to take them on."
Lautenberg is a member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee and chairs a EPW subcommittee.
