NJGOP Chairman Tom Wilson

Jon "SuperBoss" Corzine Is At It Again
--Corzine Sends Senate Hopefuls To Smokey Back Rooms To Kiss The Rings Of Power Brokers--Trenton, NJ -- Republican State Chairman Tom Wilson issued the following statement today regarding news reports that NY Senator Chuck Schumer and Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid are "interviewing" prospective candidates that Jon Corzine is considering to fill out the remainder of his term in the United States Senate:

"It's taken less than 10 days for Jon Corzine to lose the disguise he mastered for the campaign. We are again reminded that the Jon S. Corzine stands for Jon "SuperBoss" Corzine. Instead of demanding that those who wish to be considered go out and engage the public in a dialogue about issues, he's dispatched them to sit in smokey back rooms and kiss the rings of his fellow power brokers. Jon Corzine cares more about what bosses like Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer want than he does what the people of New Jersey think. Jon Corzine ought to tell Chuck Schumer and Harry Reid to either move to New Jersey or mind their own business. Former Governor Tom Kean made it clear that he wasn't about politics when he selected Nick Brady. If Jon Corzine really wants us to believe that he's not all about political power, he'll follow the lead of Governor Kean and select someone who wants to be a good Senator for New Jersey, not a good candidate for the party bosses."
