HILDA SOLIS PRAISES CORZINE’S EFFORTSON BEHALF OF WORKING  LATINO FAMILIESACROSS NEW JERSEY (PATERSON) – Governor Jon S. Corzine and Senator Loretta Weinberg today were joined on the campaign trail by Hilda Solis at a breakfast event hosted by Assemblywoman Nellie Pou (D-Paterson) to energize and invigorate Hispanic women and celebrate Governor Corzine’s achievements on-behalf of women and New Jersey’s Latino community.“Having Hilda Solis campaigning on my behalf is an honor,” said Corzine.  “She is a leading advocate on the issues that matter most to Latino families – from quality education to access to health care to support for small businesses.  She is a force in the Latino community across the country and her presence in New Jersey will help to carry the good work of New Jersey Democrats to even more members of the growing Latino community, which is critical to victory for Democrats this November.”Before the breakfast, Solis met with prominent women leaders from New Jersey’s Hispanic community to discuss Jon Corzine’s fight to benefit working families by improving access to quality health care and keep New Jersey on track, and moving forward, in the current global economic crisis. The breakfast meeting included grassroots activists, elected officials, and luminaries from business and the non-profit sector pledging their support for the Corzine/Weinberg team and Democrats from across the State.  “Governor Jon Corzine has taken an aggressive lead on the issues that matter most to Latino families,” said Solis.  “New Jersey is incredibly fortunate to have Jon Corzine as governor.  He created the first economic recovery plan in the nation and continues to fight for what matters most for people all across the state and, particularly, within New Jersey’s diverse and growing Latino community.”Solis praised Corzine at the breakfast for his achievements for women and families highlighting the addition of nearly an additional 100,000 children who are now covered by FamilyCare.  She also lauded Corzine for his dedication to quality education through increases in the education budget, despite historic budget cuts.  Solis noted the fact that New Jersey is one of only three states to narrow the achievement gap for minorities in fourth grade reading, and one in fifteen to positively affect student achievement in fourth grade math.#   #   #

Martin Perez -- El Gran Lechon

This represents the real feelings of the NJ Latino community. People like Martin Perez are a fraud -- He is a tool of the school voucher movement.

He has been totally discredited. After this election neither the Republicans or the Democrats will want to meet to discuss anything with him.
