MARIO CUOMO HEADLINES LYNDHURST RALLY TO ENERGIZE VOTER SUPPORT FOR CORZINE & SCALERA/SCHAER

Mario Cuomo today headlined a rally with more than 300 people gathered to support the re-election efforts of Governor Jon S. Corzine and the 36th Legislative District Team of Assemblymen Fred Scalera and Gary Schaer (both D-Bergen/Passaic/Essex).

“The excitement of Lyndhurst residents at today’s rally with Mario Cuomo shows the growing energy and momentum of New Jerseyans across the state that will carry Democrats to victory this November,” said Governor Corzine. “New Jersey Democrats are dedicated to doing the right thing for working families by fighting for the issues that matter most. We passed the nation’s first economic recovery act, with new business grants to create jobs, froze property taxes for seniors and got health care coverage for almost one hundred thousand children.”

“As a young man, Jon Corzine worked day and night to put himself through school, even volunteering for the Marine Corps and later leading one of America’s most respected companies and then leading the great state of New Jersey during one of the most difficult economic times since the Great Depression,” said Cuomo. “In these tough times, leaders like Governor Corzine and Assemblymen Scalera and Schaer are integral to New Jersey emerging from this global economic crisis stronger than ever. They represent strong Democratic values and have the economic know-how New Jerseyans need. They are committed to putting what matters most to New Jersey families first.”

Governor Corzine and Scalera/Schaer were lauded by Cuomo for their cooperative efforts of fighting for what matters most to working families by expanding access to healthcare for nearly 100,000 New Jersey children, their commitment to quality education and ongoing work to keep the State’s economy on track.

“Mario Cuomo's roots strengthened his resolve to dedicate his public life to representing working families,” said Scalera. “His family, like many of those we are honored to represent, was proud of their heritage but even more proud to be part of the American dream. It is that commitment to working families and the issues that matter most for every hardworking New Jerseyan that defines us as Democrats. And it is why Lyndhurst, and the 36th District, supports this team.”

“Governor Cuomo’s support for our entire team is proof that New Jersey's Democrats are making the right choices to put our state back on track and moving forward,” said Schaer. “The voters we meet all share the same concern for growing jobs, tackling the property tax crisis and protecting communities from those who put their own financial interests before the public interest. This team is making the tough decisions and taking the steps necessary to meet those concerns. It is that record of commitment and results that will see this Democratic team victorious on Election Day.”

Mario Cuomo is the longest serving Democratic Governor of New York in history. He had two of the largest electoral victories in New York history. During his tenure foreign investment in the state of New York nearly doubled.

Say no to Christie and Corzine. Vote Daggett

Don't by that GOP non-sense that Daggett is a plant funded by Corzine.

Fact is Daggett has no funds at all.

Futhermore, Chris Daggett nailed Christie and Corzine for corruption in 3rd Debate

You really have to hand it to Chris Daggett. Not only did he stand toe to toe with Jon Corzine and Chris Christie he really nailed it to them in the 3rd NJ  Gubernatorial Debate. Once again, for the third time in a row, I give this as a notch for Daggett.

Chris Daggett handed it to both Christie and Corzine for corruption saying to fight corruption you need to lead by example.

Daggett then cited specific corrupt activities that Christie and Corzine had engaged in, including illegal campaign finance and pay to play, and neither Corzine or Christie could defend themselves.

Instead, Corzine acknowledges that activity is going on and agrees with Daggett that it needs to stop.
