(ENGLEWOOD) – Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. today commended Governor Jon S. Corzine’s selection of Loretta Weinberg as the first Democratic Lieutenant Governor. He issued the following statement:
“Governor Corzine hit one out of the park by selecting Senator Loretta Weinberg – she will undoubtedly be a great first Lieutenant Governor of New Jersey.
“Senator Weinberg has phenomenal credentials, chief among them her outstanding record of fighting for improved ethics and transparency in government.
“Loretta has her finger on the pulse of New Jersey and her career has centered on her ability to be responsive to all New Jerseyans, especially those most in need.
“New Jersey continues to be a better place to live for all New Jerseyans due to the dedication and passion Senator Weinberg has always brought to her work in public service.
“The partnership of Loretta Weinberg and Governor Corzine is a team that is dedicated to fighting for what is right for every New Jerseyan – together they will keep our state moving in the right direction today and for generations to come.”
