WILSON CALLS MENENDEZ STATEMENT ON FARBER "INADEQUATE"
As Her Biggest Backer, Menendez Is Obliged to Take a Stand on Her ConductTrenton, NJ - Republican State Chairman Tom Wilson issued the following statement today in reaction to today's Bergen Record story entitled "Menendez fears AG flap may hurt him:"

"Bob Menendez should be less concerned about how this matter will affect his political career and more concerned about how her conduct affects the people of New Jersey.

To date, Bob Menendez's statements on Zulima Farber are inadequate. The independent investigator has been asked to review this situation as a matter of law. Given the role that Mr. Menendez played in getting Ms. Farber her job, he has an obligation to discuss is whether or not he feels that her conduct was appropriate for the sitting Attorney General of the State. Her actions reflect on him and he should stand up and say whether or not he believes she acted appropriately. No one is asking him to render a legal opinion. Aside from the Governor, Bob Menendez is more than anyone else for Ms. Farber getting the job of attorney general. He has repeatedly vouched for her qualifications and her judgment. He was the keynote speaker at her swearing in and went to bat for her with Corzine and McGreevey.

The question for Bob Menendez is simple. Does Bob Menendez believe that Zulima Farber showed good judgment in this matter and, regardless of the legal issues that might arise from her conduct, should she remain in the position of Attorney General?

Bob Menendez desperately wants people to believe that his Hudson County ethics are different than those of people like Bob Janiszewski or Bill Braker who think that the politically powerful are above the law. When he cowers behind a politically correct statement and refuses to say whether or not he thinks Zulima Farber acted appropriately or not, he is proving that he really is no different."

"Top Ten Ways Corzine Can Remove Zulima Farber as the AG While Allowing Her to Save Face."

10. Suggest that Acting U.S. Senator Menendez needs a distinguished Protocol Officer for the official New Jersey delegation attending Fidel Castro's Upcoming State Funeral Gala.

9. For a player to be named later, trade her to Chair the Democrat National Committee's (DNC) recently organized think tank, "Alternatives to Traditional Enforcement: The Emerging Role of State AGs."

8. If she'll go, give her the Governor's "'Atta Girl Diversionary Tactic Award for Headline Stealing" for having personally caused more controversy in the first 6 months than any other cabinet officer, thus giving the Governor perfect cover to hike taxes.

7. Present her with a Platinum Policeman's Benevolent Association (PBA) Card, with white gold oak-leaf cluster, good for her lifetime, and can be inherited by a spouse or boyfriend.

6. Tell her she can make a mint if she publishes a humorous children's story called, "Hey . . .You Want to Pull That Traffic Ticket Over, Officer?!!" but that she will have to step aside as AG because of the strict limits on outside income.

5. Commission Seward Johnson to cast a bronze likeness of her entitled, "My Life on the Bench" if she goes, depicting her sitting on a bench just outside the Hughes Justice Complex.

4. Her own NJN Show, "ZULIMA!" with a 15 year, "fixed" escalator clause contract, and with the first episode, "Bench Warrants Can Be Your Friend!"

3. Her very own "stealth" technology automobile, with the latest radar-bollixing apparatus installed, special seatbelt-wearing hologram, confidential VIP license plates good for 15 years, and bumper sticker, "We Have Zero Tolerance."

2. Personalized License, Registration and Insurance "Smart Cards" that automatically update through a special wireless connection to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission.

And the number one way to quietly remove Zulima Farber as AG:

1. If all else fails, announce her distinguished appointment as the first Commissioner of the newly-minted "New Jersey Department of Mopery."

Hey Tom

The Republicans need to grow some testicles if they want Kean to win.

Same tired ideas! Same tired advisors = BIG LOSS

Hit Menendez hard in Hudson County. He is embarrassed at the thought losing his home county.(Just ask Bret how that feels)

Make Menendez spend time and money in the 13th Congressional District.

Forget that antiquated Cuba Libre crap. Oppose the embargo on Cuba. Most women and younger Cuban-Americans are tired of the embargo. Do some polling.
