LONEGAN: CHRISTIE NEEDS TO BACK UP THE MEN WHO ENDORSED HIM
KENILWORTH -- Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Lonegan today praised the five New Jersey house members who voted against Barack Obama's inflationary pork barrel "stimulus" package, including four who endorsed Chris Christie, and urged Christie to join him in backing up the New Jersey Republican Congressional team.
"Our Congressional team and all House Republicans stood united today in opposition to the biggest government boondoggle in history," Lonegan said in door-to-door remarks to Union County committeemembers this afternoon. "I praise our five Congressman today for standing tall on principle for the taxpayers. It is unfortunate that Mr. Christie cannot stand with nearly every other Republican in the country today, including the four men who endorsed him, in opposition to this big government welfare scheme."
