Now Available Online: The Resume of a Failed Career Politician
(EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ) – In the spirit of presenting the real Sonny McCullough to voters, Atlantic County Democrats launched a website today that showcases the career politician's unfortunate resume: holding multiple taxpayer-funded jobs; raising his constituents' taxes while giving himself pay raises; and taking hypocrisy to new levels by claiming his opposition to dual office-holding but refusing to relinquish one of his public offices. Some serious lapses in ethical judgment, extreme partisanship, a lack of vision and an overall failed record add up to a politician who has been in office far too long and should not be elected to a full term in the state Senate.

A close look at this brief but telling bio of Mr. McCullough should tell voters all they need to know about his record - and perhaps even provide clues to his motives. One thing should be quite obvious: Sen. McCullough has put his own personal interests far ahead of the interests of the 2nd District residents he professes to represent.
"Short on accomplishments and long on failures, Sen. McCullough's record leaves voters no choice but to vote him out of the Statehouse when they go to the polls next Tuesday," said Raiyan Syed, campaign manager for Assemblyman Jim Whelan, the Democratic state Senate candidate.
"In electing Jim Whelan to the Senate, they will be choosing an accomplished, honest and fair-minded legislator who will put the interests of the 2nd district first. Unlike Sen. McCullough, Jim Whelan will work in a bipartisan way to bring about lower taxes, reduced state government spending and the continued economic revival of Atlantic City and the entire region."
