Why is it that parades designed as a way to celebrate one's roots and heritage always seem to do more to cause disgrace than honor?

This gentleman who was walking down the street was a victim of a robbery. He had a camera and wanted to take some picture's of the festival. I have witnesses who seen the men who robbed the victim then ran off as soon cops headed toward the scene. The victim started to walk home to his E. Jersey home, but he could not hear the officers call his attention due to the loud audiance & stund from the hit. The officers pulled him down, pepper sprayed him and hand cuffed then brutally beat on his face. Ripped both upper & lower lips, lost teeth and a later on found he had a broken jaw. My sister & my brother came to the scene with a bucket of water to assist his burning eyes. Officers were cursing and threatening them to leave the area immediatly. Once he was transported to the local ER, his wife was not able to see him. Officers were swearing to her if she walks to the back of the ER, she will be arrested.

This individual is a great husband, father and role model for the youth. He has a beautiful family, a loving wife with 4 sons ages (10, 7, 2, 1) He is a hard working man and stays out of trouble. This is wrong and what happened today was police brutality and this situation was a mistaken idenity.

MY HUSBAND WAS A VICTIM OF POLICE BRUTALITY .... HE WAS ROBBED AND PUNCHED IN THE MOUTH BY SOME OTHER PEOPLE AT THE FESTIVAL.. THEN WHEN GETTING UP AND WALKING AWAY THE COPS CAME TO HIM AND SPRAYED MACE IN HIS FACE ...THEY DIDINT EVEN ASKED WHAT HAPPENED ARE U OK. I WAS TOLD BY WITTNESS THAT THE COPS BEAT HIM WHILE HANDCUFFED AND PEOPLE WERE TELLING THE OFFICER BENENATIA TO STOP AND SOME OTHER OFFICERS AS WELL THEY ALSO USED THE STICK TO HIT HIM HE DIDNT DO NOTHING HE WAS NOT RESISTING ARREST. HE WAS A VICTIM AND HE WENT TO JAIL FOR DISORDER CONDUCT WHY .... DOES THIS HAPPEN. HE SUFFERED ALOT OF FACE DAMAGE AND 4 MISSING TEETH, LIPS STITCHED UP... WIRED....I HAVE WITNESS AND THE WITNESS WENT TO MAYOR BOLLAGE AND THEY TOLD HIM Y DID THE COPS HAVE TO BEAT HIM IN SUCH A MANOR THAT WAY HE WAS A VICTIM.. THE MAYOR SAID LET THEM DO THERE JOB. I COUNDNT SEE MY HUSBAND IN THE ER THEY REFUSED AND TOLD ME IF I GO BACK THERE I WILL BE ARRESTED.. AND I TOLD THE COP WHY DID THIS HAD TO HAPPEN POLICE BRUTALITY AND HE SAID NOTHING I DONT WANT TO TALK TO U.... HE WAS THE VICTIM.......

My brother inlaw was robbed at the festival and walked away from the scene. Witnesses say they are the Dominican Gang. As the victim was walking home a man came behind him and punched him in his face and robbed for his camera. This man was alone and did not owe any money to anyone.

So after the crowd stated fight fight and thats when the bad guys ran off and the cops arrived and hand cuffed him and beaten him up more right after a robbery took place. They maced the victim and beaten him up more. Witnesses say "the officers were surrounding the victim and soon after one witness saw a officer used his weapon and hit his mouth which caused him to bleed and suffer and broke his jaw. THIS IS POLICE BRUTALITY!!! This victim was not at fault what so ever. They arrested him for no reason and stated he was not cooperating with the police which was false. He was leaving the scene after being robbed. Any festivals or gatherings are not safe anymore.

He is an attorney who represents people, especially Latinos, who have been abused by law enforcement authorities. He got the charges dismissed, and alot of publicity, for the Latino Good Samaratan who was assautled and arrested by the police in Roselle or Roselle Park after she provided translation for them with a Spanish speaking victim who was hit by a car.
