NEWARK - N.J. FBI Special Agent Wesyan Dun said today's federal corruption chrages filed against over 40 elected officials, rabbis, and political operatives was part of a ten-year long investigation dubbed Operation Bid Rig, which dropped officials in Monmouth County several years ago.
Over 300 federal agents this morning stormed 54 different locations, Dun said.
He confirmed that a search warrant was executed at the home of state Commissioner of Community Affairs Joe Doria, who was not arrested.
"The list of people should be a roster for a meeting of community leaders," said Dun, who added that "sadly" such was not the case.
