Pinkett: no comment about LG status

SOMERSET - A car was parked in front of the home of lieutenant governor prospect Randal Pinkett, who appeared at the door moments after PolitickerNJ.com rang the bell.

Tall and rangy in the door frame, he apologized for not being able to talk.

"I'd like to talk with you, but we're eating dinner at the moment," he said with a smile. "Guests."

As the door closed, he fielded a first and last question about his status as a candidate for lieutenant governor on a ticket with Gov. Jon Corzine.

"I'm not going to comment on that right now," Pinkett said. "No comment."
