Bergmanson bashes Corzine budget plan, and in return gets slammed by Cryan
By Max Pizarro | March 10th, 2009 - 3:01pmTRENTON – As lawmakers departed, a man handing out cards with the words “independent Democrat” printed on them panned the budget speech just delivered by Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine.
“It was outrageous,” said former Glen Ridge Mayor Carl Bergmanson, who says he plans to be on the ballot in the Democratic Party primary.
He may have been the only Democrat in the room publicly expressing a negative opinion.
“This guy simply does not understand math,” the long shot candidate for governor added of the incumbent. “He says he’s against one-shot gimmicks, and then he turns around and relies on the one-shot gimmick of the federal stimulus package to plug the budget deficit. There was no acknowledgement of the fundamental problem of schools funding.”
The chamber emptied.
"Carl Begrmanson hasn't voted in a Democratic Primary in 20 years," Democratic State Chairman Joe Cryan said later of Bergmanson. "He didn't care who was president. This is a guy who's more concerned about whether Pluto's a planet than property taxes in Plainfield."

Joe Cryan represents everything that is wrong
Joe Cryan represents everything that is wrong with the New Jersey "Democratic" Machine, and he is an embarrassment to anyone like me who believes that Democrats should first and foremost be about Democracy.
Cryan knows that his boss is batting .000 and so rather than talk about that, he comes out with a personal attack against me. It's easy to understand - he's got nothing else. Frankly, getting slammed by a thug like "Envelope Joe" is a Badge of Honor that I will treasure forever. President Obama is right, we'll be much better off when we get guys like Joe Cryan out of politics.
Governor Corzine's budget, if instituted, will be a disaster for working families throughout New Jersey, let's hope that my fellow Democrats in the State Legislature are smart enough to recognize that that will translate into electoral disaster for our party in November, and instead put together a budget that represents the real change and fiscal responsibility that the voters of our state are demanding.
Crying Joe Cryan
Joe Cryan has become the most verbal hatchet man for Corzine. It would be amazing if he actaully believed the rhetoric that he spouts. Better instead of blaming Bush let us look at the fingerprints that have been on the state budgets for the past thirty years. Let's give credit to Codey,Roberts and Lesniak who shook their heads yes to the gimmicks that have been fostered upon the state. Trough swillers who feathered their own beds instead of doing the business of the people.

Corzine won't secure 60% of the vote in his own primary
Corzine is going to lose in November and lose badly.
All of Corzine's horses and all of Corzine's men, cannot put the Corzine Administration back together again.
The sooner Democrats understand that, the sooner they'll find a replacement candidate to this fool.
Jim McGreevey and Golan Cipal have a better chance in November then the bearded wonder...
