Lonegan submits matching funds application for $44K

Former Bogota Mayor Steve Lonegan

Steve Lonegan’s gubernatorial campaign today submitted a second application for state matching funds in the amount of $43,988.21, according to campaign consultant Rick Shaftan.

“If every dollar is matched 2-to-1, that would mean another $87,976.42 deposited into our public funds account,” Shaftan said.

Last week, the campaign deposited $471,343.24 into its public funds account, according to Shaftan. State approval on both counts would bring the GOP gubernatorial candidate’s funding total to date, between money raised and public matching funds, to just over $1,030,662.
