Burry has most cash on hand in Monmouth Freeholders' race
By Max Pizarro, PolitickerNJ.com ReporterIn the much-watched Monmouth County Freeholders contest in which Republican control is at stake, incumbent GOP Freeholder Director Lillian Burry leads all candidates in the individual money race.
However, her general election report, filed separately this week from running mate John Curley, also underscores how the two Republican candidates aren’t running a coordinated campaign.
Their separate efforts contrast with the joint report filed by their Democratic rivals: Amy Mallet and Glen Mason, who also regularly make the rounds together to public events, unlike Burry and Curley.
Burry’s campaign this week reported to the Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC) that she has raised $53,473.87. Her closing balance is $47,930.76. Curley has raised $30,941.90 for his general election campaign, and reports a closing balance of $10,140.16.
In their joint filing with ELEC this week, Mallet and Mason reported raising $68,163.70 and have $5,397.79 on hand.
Monmouth County sources say new pay-to-play laws have hit hard traditional Democratic Party fundraising in the county, and Monmouth County Democratic Chairman Vic Scudiery confirms that he is hoping for more help from the state organization.

Curley is not playing with a full deck
Of course Curley and Burry are not running a coordinated campaign. Curley never gets along with anyone. I actually hope this guy gets elected as it will be entertaiing to watch him.
I don't think Burry campaigns at all.
BTW, both campaigns (D's & R's) fundraising #'s and cash on hand stink!
