Kean welcomes Corzine-Palin comparison

DENVER - Not allowing Democrats any daylight on the afternoon following Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-Ill.) Mile High Stadium acceptance speech, members of the New Jersey delegation celebrated their presidential candidate’s selection today of Gov. Sarah Palin.

Among those GOP politicians psyched about Palin is state Sen. Minority Leader Tom Kean, Jr., (R-Union).

"I think she’s a great pick," Kean said of Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz) running mate. "She has executive experience, and she has been a reformer since the beginning of her career. I’ve been saying for days that she’d be a great pick. My wife and daughters are thrilled."

In praising Palin, the Republican took a jab at New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine.

"This is a governor who is a fiscal conservative," said Kean. "I mean, wouldn’t it be great in this state to have someone who actually cuts spending?"

Asked if he believes Palin - who was elected governor in 2006 - takes experience off the table in the Republicans’ assault on the credentials of freshman Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.)., Kean said not at all.

"Sen. Obama’s experience is he’s been running for office, while Gov. Palin has been serving," said Kean. "She’s dedicating her whole life to making changes, which is a strong contrast to Sen. Obama."

A supporter of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani during the GOP Primary, Kean said Giuliani would fulfill a valuable role at the convention next week as the keynote speaker, and in the presidential campaign. He is not disappointed that McCain did not pick Giuliani as a running mate.

Invesco Field, not Mile High Stadium

You're falling into the Obama camp's memory chute, Max. They felt the correct name of the venue was "too corporate" so they took it upon themselves to rename it in obamaspeak.

CommonSenseNJ Bemoans Imagination, Innovation and

the transformation that occured in a Denver stadium and at house parties around the country. And he bitterly begrudges Obama and the Democrats for Making American Political History on August 28, 2008 and demonizes Obama for creating a metaphorical name for Invesco Stadium: "Mile High Stadium". I don't recall Democrats wasting a single minute: begrudging Ronald Reagan for using an untold number of quick witted, uplifting and metaphorical phrases like: "A Shining City On A Hill" or saying, "Duh, Jack, Reagan can't say that we are a shining city on a hill! I take issue with that because I live in Flint and you live in Buffalo! He must be a liar to say that!"

80, 000 Republicans have not yet shown up for a McBush Rally, anywhere. On the morning after, 80, 000 Dems, Independents and Recovering Republicans showed up for Obama, Joe Biden and the party in Denver: McBush's Veep announcement and introduction of Palin in Dayton attracted less than 5, 000!

Kean, the Jr. said, "I'm psyched about Palin." Psyched? I don't believe it!

Other words and visual images flash before my eyes: Behind closed doors and way out of the range of reporters: Tom Wilson, Chris Christie, Leonard Lance, O'Toole, Biondi and Rudy Guiliani are coming unhinged and "Going Psycho" about McCain's Palin Alaskan presidential discovery! (:

And I can't wait to read Paul Mulshine's story about why McCain picked Palin and not Rudy!

I think McCain thinks he just struck oil with Palin! He already fashions himself as the drill drill drill president. But I think he is already morphing into a "Palin User and Alaskan opportunist" and a would be robber oil barron of the 21st century.

McBush thinks he just hit a gold mine in the hinterlands of Alaska
but I think he threw Obama, Biden and the Democrats
67 HAIL MARY PASSES! 67 days to go until the election!

But I see McBush's Palin Veep choice from a totally different perspective. And it's all for the benefit of Obama and Joe Biden who will waste no time exploiting and revealing John's very poor and bizarre judgment.

McBush just served up and handed us a mouth watering Alaskan Souffle...And it will be devoured in no time at all by Obama, Joe Biden and very hungry grassroots activists and surrogates!

Oh McBush

What witty names Democrats think up. Personally I like Jon "F*$K the middle class, I'm going to spend like there is no tomorrow, forcing higher taxes on EVERYONE, ruin the state, but I don't give a $hit because I'm a multi-millionaire so I can afford my own a$$nine policies" Corzine.

Kean welcomes

Who cares what you think Kean.

Your a loser and a waste of time for even me, a Catholic Conservative Republican that knows, and to even comment on anything that comes out of your worthless mouth disgust me.

Wait a second....

I must have glossed over this in reading most of teh drivel from Kathy. But she thinks that, "Obama created a metaphorical name for Invesco, Mile High Statdium"???? It was called Mile High Stadium for YEARS before Invesco bought the naming rights. I guess it's kinda like how Al Gore created the internet.
