The Star-Ledger is reporting that Gov. Jon Corzine cut short his trip to Chicago where he had been scheduled to confer with other Democratic Party governors and presumptive presidential nominee Barack Obama.
Corzine wants to be in Trenton for the budget process, which remains stalled in specially scheduled committees today in both the Assembly and Senate.
The governor was set to return to New Jersey immediately following the meeting with Obama, according to his press office.

Snowball Thrower
So "hold me accountable" Corzine - helps make the budget, throws it and then heads out of town.
Tell the idiot to say in Chicago!!!
What good is he going to do here???
He and the idiots around him boast that they put together a budget that is $100mil lower than was originally proposed earlier this year and they did it without a tax increase!!!!
Hmmmm, let me see now............a WORKING couple that now makes over $100k will be getting less of a homestead rebate. That's after he promised ALL of us the first time he ran of office that he would increase the rebate amount 10% per year to help lower the Real Estate tax burden and for WORKING families. So for me getting less of a rebate is a tax INCREASE.
But wait another minute, maybe since Bozo the Gov. is coming back he can increase the amount he wants to borrow for School Construction.
First $2.5bil
Then $3.5bil
Now $3.9bil
Come on Bozo just make it $4.5bil, it's an election year and you have to make sure that you line all the pockets so they get out the vote for you!!!!
But lets make sure we don't forget the current proposed budget is $100mil lower!!!!
I am going to sleep better tonight knowing that.
One Way Ticket Next time
Jon please do us all a favor and stay in Illinois. Of course Obama is probably embarrassed by your presence can we blame him????
Corzine is mad at Obama!
No VP offer came, so Jon got out of town mad as hell.
Karla is calling
she wants to give the money back
Obama Job Interview
I guess the job interview went bad with Obama so Jon Corzine is returning back to NJ with his tail between his legs.....
Oh let me further add that
Oh let me further add that is about time that he concentrate on the NJ Budget and earn that $1 salary NJ taxpayers are so generously paying Jon Corzine.
