AGOSTINELLI & BOMBACE OFFER RUMANA $100 CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION IF HE AGREES TO DEBATES

Ridgewood, NJ - In light of a recent fundraising letter sent out by Assemblyman Scott Rumana claiming that he was struggling to raise money for his campaign, the Agostinelli & Bombace for Assembly campaign had pledged to donate $100 dollars to Rumana if he agrees to their challenge to debate in every county of the 40th District.  Scott Rumana and David Russo have ignored calls by the Agostinelli & Bombace campaign to debate -  showing a lack of respect to the voters of the 40th District.

“Assemblyman Rumana sent out a press release on Tuesday blasting Governor Corzine’s policies on COAH-but yet he still won’t engage Mark and I to debate these issues in front of the voters.  It is a total lack of respect for the democratic process and to his constituents,” stated Agostinelli.

“I’ll write a check right now to their campaign if they agree to a debate in every county of the 40th District,” stated Bombace.  “With all of the problems facing the 40th District the voters deserve to hear what our Assemblymen have been doing in Trenton.”

Scott Rumana and David Russo have consistently shown a lack of accountability and transparency by ducking debates. Through out their time in the State Assembly they have shown they answer only to the Trenton Insiders and corporate lobbyists, not the voters and families of the 40th District.

Election Day is Tuesday November 3rd, 2009.  The 40th Legislative District encompasses parts of Bergen, Essex, and Passaic Counties, including the following towns: Cedar Grove Franklin Lakes, Little Falls, Mahwah, Midland Park, Oakland Ridgewood, Ringwood, Verona, Wanaque, Wayne, and Wyckoff.
