HACKENSACK – Stumping for Gov. Corzine this evening, President Barack Obama took some direct shots at Republican gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie.
Obama said that Corzine “understood that Pre-K isn’t babysitting – it’s a ticket to a world class education” – a reference to a point Christie made in a Republican primary debate.
Christie's cam[aign today put out a web ad showing struggling New Jersey communities with inspirational Obama speech excerpts in the background, in which the President urges an end to partisan rancor. Throughout the general election campaign, Christie has remained largely uncritical of the President, sometimes even highlighting cases where the two agree. But the rhetoric from the president this evening was not mutual.
“Listening to Jon’s opponent, you’d think New Jersey was the only state swept up in the [economic crisis]” said Obama, who did not once mention Christie’s name in his 25 minute speech. “There seems to be some selective memory about how we got into this fix.”
Obama’s speech came after the audience of about 3,500 heard from Corzine’s lieutenant governor candidate, state Sen. Loretta Weinberg (D-Teaneck), Caroline Kennedy and Corzine himself.
Obama threw Christie in with the larger Republican party, saying “these other guys have a lot of nerve to leave this big mess and complain about how long he’s taking to clean it up.”
The criticism of Chrisite, however, was a short part of Obama’s speech, which mainly praised Corzine’s economic policies like paid family leave and cutting the state budget. It was markedly different from his July campaign appearance for Corzine in Holmdel, where Obama spent the bulk of the speech on his health care plan

Eight Years of Democrats in Trenton.
Eight years. Three different governors all following the same path. It's time to move beyond the stranglehold that the Democrats somehow feel they're entitled to in this state.
Good comments by Christie on CNN tonight
Surprisingly, CNN gave Christie a chance to answer several questions after 6 pm. I like his statement that President Obama identified the causes of economic problems in New Jersey but supports the wrong solution, mainly Governor Corzine, who is the cause of our problems today.

A President in Denial
I had no idea he was so insenative to the people who are suffering in a state of the highest property taxes and a bad unemployment rate. What kind of change is he talking about. Corruption breeds arrogance
Obama and Corzine, Perfect together.
We have a President who lies about his background and eligibility to be President. We have a Governor who lies about his background and eligibility to be Governor for another 4 years. Corzine covers up his official misconduct with his paramour, who was the head of the largest union in the state. Do we want 4 more years in Trenton of lies, deceit and corruption?
Obama and Corzine say that Chris Christie is against Pre-K school funding. They say we need Pre-K so our children have a "world class education". Really? Are they saying that our regular schools, from K-12 are poorly run? No, what they are saying is that they want the state to start indoctrinating our children early on, so as to continue to eliminate the family unit, and make the state become the head of the household. Christie is on target with this by objecting to it.
It's time to rid ourselves of the vermin Marxists in Trenton and the White House and vote out, as Vladimir Lenin once said, "the useful idiots" who spread the propaganda and indoctrination of Marxism. If you want 4 more years of this, then vote for Corzine. Christie says he's the "change". I say vote him in, and if he doesn't do it in 4 years, vote him out. We need to keep voting out the miscreants and corruption every 2-4 years so they don't get a foothold into our pockets anymore. This is the way to do initiative & referendum if the current legislature won't listen to its people.
Abbott Preschool
the program is working! That's the good news. But the real news is that the gains these children achieve are not sustained once they enter the failing public schools. Before steamrolling to add more tax dollars to the preschool program, we need to look at the waste and dysfunction of the Abbott public schools. We cannot continue to tax and borrow more than the taxpayers of this state can pay - Obama has the advantage of being able to print money, Jersey doesn't have that advantage.
WTF.....
So a President who took more campaign money from executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is standing shoulder to shoulder with the former disgraced CEO of Goldman Sachs, trying to convince us that George Bush single-handedly caused the state's current economic crisis. I agree with the President. There does seem to be some "selective memory" about how we got into this mess. They must think we're dumber than Bush.
Worthless President
Obama is officially bought and paid for by Norcross and Corzine. Join the club of the rest of your political friends up here.
Hillary is really controlling the white house.
