A Chris Christie internet video released today likens his campaign’s message to President Obama's, while a Jon Corzine web ad from three days ago ties Christie to former President George W. Bush with his own words.
In Christie’s video, titled “Mr. President” and timed to coincide with Obama’s rally for Corzine today, several Obama speeches are cut together over solemn piano music and images of impoverished parts of New Jersey, including Camden’s Transition City, which Christie has raised on the stump. In the audio clips, Obama calls for an end to partisan rancor, calls the financial crisis a “direct result of the greed and irresponsibility that has dominate Washington and Wall Street for years now” and talks about challenging “the money and influence that stood in our way.”
“New Jerseyans are still fighting for change,” reads the text at theend of the ad.
A Rasmussen poll released yesterday put Obama's approval rating in New Jersey rightside up at 53% approve to 39% disapprove.
In Corzine’s spot – his most watched internet-only ad, at close to 16,000 views – Christie’s comments are cut out and allowed to stand on their own. At a press conference the Corzine campaign says took place on March 26, 2007, Christie, then the state’s U.S. Attorney, says "Listen, I plead guilty to having raised money for Governor George W. Bush because I thought he was the best person to be President of the United States.”
The video highlights Christie’s comment that “Anybody who receives a political appointment -- I am a political appointee -- there's going to be some measure of politics involved with that appointment."

Obama For NJ GOV?
I have never seen a more odious display of grappling for power then every time I see another message from Jon Corzine and how voting for him is voting for Obama. Frankly, it's just plain insulting to the intelligence of the people of New Jersey. It isn't Obama or Bush that are running for office here. Obama didn't even want Jon Corzine to be part of his administration.
What's ludicrous is for Christie to try linking himself to Obama
Talk about a stretch.
And no, I am NOT talking about the man's pant waist.
Both Ways
If Corzine is bringing Obama to NJ and creating "Obama/Corzine" signs. Why shouldn't Christie put Obama in an ad?
What a dumb move...
The the people I have spoken to that actually support Christie do so because of their disapproval of Obama.
Way to Alienate your base.
I wish the republicans would stop the Bush/Rove Fear mongering. There is obviously a consensus that a vote for Daggett is not a vote for Corzine, except among those who use mass psychological terror to promote their own agendas.
Facts are facts and how you ignore them I don't know.
I say no to Chris Christie because
The Chris Christie mafia connections, multiple multi-million dollar extortion scandals, Illegal campaign finance by Christie and Corzine.
Voting for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for evil.

I can go on and on about both Chris Christie and Jon Corzine. Only voters have the power to change the government. We must refuse to be held captive to the broken two-party system that has brought scandal and corruption and keeps us captive by instilling fear of voting for a third party. Its time to send a message across the country. Its time to end politics as usual.

Actually,it's just a plain good stratergy to have Christy jump in creating a media piece that associates his name with Obamas. It's both an offensive and defensive move.
People don't have "fear" in voting, or rather not voting, for a third party candidate. People don't want to be taxed to get their eyebrows done or take their pets to the vet. Daggett isn't going to win, and I think people would have more qualms about his "plan", if he was even in the running. But he isn't! So no one cares. Corzine had 4 years. That's more then enough time to make changes that he never made. The information being brought up *against* Christy are peanuts. Lets look at the real issues here.
Haven't the Christie campaign
seen the Tea Parties?
People have a strong distaste for Obama and his message.
Dumb NJ for voting Corzine
I thought it was quit effective. Christie is not george bush. Just like Corzine is not obama. Christie is about both sides working together. Nj Would be stupid if they allow this corzine back in. NJ must be blind if they don't see Norcross on the rise
Daggett Will WIN!!!
You need to stop reading that GOP biased news...
Daggett isn't in the running you say? News Flash: Daggett Breaks 20% in latest poll and the Washington Post says At 20% Path Exists For Daggett to Win Race and political analysts agree Daggett can win election with 25% in the polls
Voters will have issues with the Daggett Tax Plan you say? Again, only if you believe the GOP spin that you are being spoon feed. Economists: Daggett Tax Plan is Best
Let's Talk Issues you say. Maybe you missed the fact the Daggett won all three gubernatorial debates on THE ISSUES.
Where is Christie on the issues? He has no plan and economists agree that Christie's plan is unrealistic, would create huge budget deficit and would act like a second sales tax
Its time for voters say NO! to politics as usual.
Christie and Corzine both represent more of the same.
I can go on and on about both Chris Christie and Jon Corzine.
