Christie camp has no plans to bring Palin in

Don’t expect to see Sarah Palin promoting Chris Christie in New Jersey any time soon.

CNN asked the Christie camp if they’re planning to have the soon-to-be-former Alaska Governor campaign for Christie here in New Jersey.

The response from Campaign Manager Bill Stepien: "There are no plans for Governor Palin to visit New Jersey at this time.”

The question arose after Palin’s resignation announcement last week, when Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele said that, removed from her gubernatorial duties, Palin "will be very helpful to the Party this year as we wage critical campaigns in Virginia and New Jersey." Democrats immediately seized on that statement, relishing the idea of equating Christie with a polarizing figure like Palin.

Huh?

Yes, because we all know how pro-life, pro-gun, lower taxes, less Government Conservatives like Sarah Palin are so "polarizing", as opposed to the baby killing, gun stealing, tax hiking, bigger Government Liberals and RINO's who are portrayed as "mainstream"...

Yes. This is the correct

decision for the Christie campaign. Congratulations!

Stay away for now, Sarah!

Sarah is a remarkable woman (and while I can't figure out why she resigned) I think she still could have a very bright future in politics. However...

If she starts campaigning for liberal GOPers around the country she will lose her credibility as a force in the conservative movement.

Sarah would do well to stay far, far away from the RINO running for Governor of NJ.

Polarizing

Just because she is pro-life, pro-second amendment, less government, and lower taxes does not make her polarizing. She's a patriot. Bring her down to NJ and have her work with Christie. She'll energize the electorate.

The best person

Colin Powell. He might be the only Republican that would help Christie. Rudy, Mitt, Newt, Palin, McCain are dead wood. Although a Ron Paul might help Chris alot.

Stay away Palin

Christie can't criticize Corzine for bringing Obama and the same day ask Palin to come to New Jersey.

"baby killing, gun stealing, tax hiking, bigger Government Liberals and RINO's who are portrayed as "mainstream"..."

Hello? Earth to Michael Illions. Come in Michael. What planet are you orbiting?

This is New Jersey not Wassilla, Alaska. You may not like baby killing, gun grabbing, tree hugging, tax hiking, big government liberals, but they're the ones who get the most votes and win elections. It's called democracy.

170,000 Republicans voted against your candidate, and another 600,000 registered Republicans didn't care enough to even bother to vote. Your guy lost so get over it.

"Bring her down to NJ and have her work with Christie. She'll energize the electorate."

Just like Joe the Plumber.

Palin

If Christie brought Palin in it might actually show that he has some guts ... and maybe some conservatism.  It might actually get me to vote for him.  I'm not holding my breath in any event.

CC

Cliff, you recognize that only baby killing, gun grabbing, tree hugging, tax hiking, big government liberals get votes and win elections in this horrid state. Your statement has truth to it. Just to clear the record, do you agree with that line of policy, or just always accept tyrannical gov't when it presents itself? Many tyrants have been democratically elected - that's why our government was supposed to function as a constitutional republic with checks and balances. We just, collectively, fail to force our elected representatives to actually obey that Constitution they take an oath to uphold. On another front, what do Colin Powell and Ron Paul have anything to do with each other that they could BOTH be good people for Christie to bring in? Christie believes much like Colin Powell which is nearly the complete opposite of Ron Paul. I wish the opposite were true, but, hey, this is NJ - whaddya' expect.

Micahel, do you have trouble

Micahel, do you have trouble sleeping at night? Sounds like you have quite a few things to be afraid of living in NJ. Best to unplug and get off the grid completely. That way the govt can't find you and take whats yours.

What message would Palin send on a campaign trail??

That if (insert GOP nominee here) were to get into office and then have a tough time, they may quit? Her decision to quit her job in her first term with a year and a half to go likely doomed any chance she had at national office. It's one thing not to run for a second term, it's another to just up and leave in the middle of your first term when you have virtually no record to show for your time in office.

"baby killing, gun grabbing,

"baby killing, gun grabbing, tree hugging, tax hiking, big government liberals get votes and win elections in this horrid state. Your statement has truth to it. Just to clear the record, do you agree with that line of policy, or just always accept tyrannical gov't when it presents itself?"

I am a pragmatic centrist, which means I can vote for Chris Christie, Jon Corzine or Chris Daggett without holding my nose.

"our government was supposed to function as a constitutional republic with checks and balances."

I'm all in favor of checks and balances to keep the rightwing lunatics from dragging the rest of society back to their eighteenth-century utopia of slavery, ethnic cleansing, racial subjugation and economic exploitation.

"what do Colin Powell and Ron Paul have anything to do with each other that they could BOTH be good people for Christie to bring in?"

I agree Colin Powell would be a good choice for Christie to bring in. He is widely known and respected by both political parties, and he genuinely reflects the social and political views of the great majority of the New Jersey electorate.

Ron Paul should stay in Texas where he can shoot animals, deliver babies and raise multi-millions of dollars from rightwing suckers who think they can make a difference when all they can do is keep the campaign managers, consultants, strategists and administrators who feed off Ron Paul from having their bank accounts turn negative.

Just a Nut Case

Clifford is not a centrist. He complains about everyone and everything. He is an elitist intellectual and needs to go back into the cave he hangs out in and do some more cave drawings until they rediscover electtricity.

he rails against right wingnuts and left wingnuts, when he is just a wingnut of his own.

clifford, just shut up. your act is tiring. If you can vote for Corzine, Christie or Daggett and not hold your nose, you show you have no values and stand for absolutely nothing

Left wingnuts

"he rails against right wingnuts and left wingnuts, when he is just a wingnut of his own."

Left wingnuts? When did I complain about left wingnuts? As far as I know there are no left wingnuts in New Jersey. And if there are I can't recall saying anything about them.

pragmatic centrist = if

pragmatic centrist = if Adolph Hitler was running against Mother Theresa they will vote for whomever is ahead in the polls.

"pragmatic centrist = if

"pragmatic centrist = if Adolph Hitler was running against Mother Theresa they will vote for whomever is ahead in the polls."

Huh? I voted for John Anderson in 1980, Ross Perot in 1992 and 1996. I've voted for lots of losers as long as they are not from the extreme rightwing.

BTW, how's the house hunt going? Find anything yet? Better move fast before your taxes go up again.
