Showing they are serious about ousting Passaic County Republican Chairman Scott Rumana, the splinter group GOP Strong has filed 277 county committee candidates.

The group, whose candidates are running under the slogan “Passaic County Republican Organization, Inc.” as opposed to the establishment organization’s “Passaic County Regular Republican Organization Inc,” also filed a full slate of county candidates and assembly candidates in heavily Democratic districts 34 and 35.

GOP Strong also touted the fact that they fielded two candidates for council in West Paterson while the PCRRO did not.

“We want to make sure the Democrats have opposition – strong opposition – everywhere,” said GOP Strong Chairman Michael Mecca. “We believe in fighting Democrats wherever we can, obviously Mr. Rumana does not.

While GOP Strong is challenging Rumana’s control over the local Republican party, he and running mate David Russo are facing a primary challenge for their assembly seats from Joe Caruso and Anthony Rottino, whose challenge coincided with the rebirth of GOP Strong but who deny any official connection.

Thats right!

Scott cant find candidates in a town thats the LIGHTEST shade of blue on the map, but the two Mikes came through! I'm thinking its going to be a LONG night June 2nd for Scotty.

sewer you assume they win EVERY seat

Are you dreaming?

It is easy to recruit Democrat donors and wolves in sheep's clothing.

What deceptive little sneaks.

Follow-up questions

  1. How many of these 277 are incumbents?
  2. How many of those incumbents have challengers running on Chris Christie's line?
  3. If they come running home in the next 3 days, will the door still be open?

Captain Still Cant Answer for West Paterson...

How can you not run someone in a town that Obama BARELY won? Until there is a legitimate answer that doesnt call legitimate Republicans Democrat sneaks, I will continue to pose that question.

Ah..

Three freeholder slates, two months, should be fun.

A DelVechio from NH hmm... where have we seen this before?

Could it be Murphy's Unity Team from 2006?

Ronnie Nochimson now a full fledged democrat
Johnathan Soto, going to prison
Kenneth DelVechio, North Haledon Attorney.

Makes absolutely no sense except to split as many Republicans up as possible.

Murphy doing what he does best; helping democrats.

sohbet sohbet
