NBC: Jackson to head EPA

MSNBC reports that Gov. Corzine’s chief of staff, Lisa Jackson, will be the next EPA Administrator.

Jackson headed up New Jersey’s Department of Environmental Protection before being tapped in October to head the front office. Before joining the DEP, she spent 16 years working for the EPA. Last month, she was tapped by Obama to oversee the transition of the EPA.

Politico reported last week that Jackson would likely be appointed to the position.
