Hillary Clinton records robocall for Josh Zeitz

Seems like the media has totally missed the fact that Zeitz has wildly exaggerated his academic record. Even this great web site carried a piece falsely describing Zeitz as "a 34-year-old American History Professor at Rutgers...who has taken a leave of absence this year..." I checked with Rutgers. Zeitz is not an American History Professor at Rutgers, never was an American history professor at Rutgers and is not on a leave of absence. He did teach - as a part-timer -one course in English in Spring 2000.

In 2006, while living in New York, Zeitz made contributions to congressional candidates in Pa. and Nebraska. Zeitz listed his occupation in both contribution disclosure forms as "Cambridge University Professor." Anyone can look this up on www.fec.gov The problem with this little piece of nonsense is that Zeitz was never a Professor at Cambridge. He had a minor acdemic position there and the Cambridge University staff literally laughed when they heard he was claiming to be a Professor because that august title only goes to very senior and very distinguished members of the faculty.

Finally he tells anyone who will listen that he taught American History at Harvard. He neglects to tell them it was actually Harvard Extension School which is open to anyone with a pulse whose check clears. Harvard tells its extension school students not to misrepresent their degree as being from the far more distinguished Harvard College. I guess Josh must have decided that he could put one over on the New Jersey folks by just saying he taught at Harvard, not Harvard Extension School.
