JOHNNY

better start coming clean, read the press releases below on this site to see how Johnny Jump to it is try to hide his own release of information regarding Ethics Release!

Myers Wins

Is Adler wearing an ankle bracelet?

Why is Adler hiding his testimony? He was exonerated by the panel right? Perhaps he has something embarrassing to hide?

Shouldn't the voters have access to their representatives testimony?

Can his testimony be OPRA'd?

Can't imagine why a non-guilty person would hide testimony he gave to a panel that cleared him of wrong doing.

Perhaps it is because this is the same panel that cleared Bryant and James and they have no credibility?

Poor John - should have stayed in Camden County were doing the wrong thing gets you a promotion.

TV

Wow, Myers is not a photogenic guy.

It's probably why he spends all of his time screaming "ethic violation!"

He would've been popular in the 50's, but not so much now.

Adler wins NJ-3.

ummm - Adler wins because he is prettier?

That's your argument?

You are down in 5 polls. Adler is tied to the MAC slush fund. Used his office to benefit his wife's employer. Cast the deciding vote on a series of tax raising legislation. Cast the deciding vote on COAH, etc, etc.

And now your whole campaign is based on Adler's feminine-like features? Yep, good plan

Anyone actually see this yet?

Neither Adler nor Myers are poor debaters by any means, though Adler is the superior of the two. At the Cherry Hill debate, Myers refused to answer whether he supported overturning Roe v. Wade and spent more time attacking Adler rather than presenting his own vision for the country. Myers knows what he opposes, whether it is his media-driven nonproductive ploy against affordable housing, but he can't present real solutions to real problems. Myers can't be like Gov. Palin and continue to refuse answering difficult questions; the public deserves better.

I'm very pleased that Adler won the 21st Century Democrats contest and now has two new field organizers. There are also two ads up on t.v. that should be playing from now until the election, a luxury that Myers simply doesn't have.

Is NJN replaying the debate? I'm eager to see this one. Hopefully, Hooker has a grasp of some of the important issues to South Jerseyans and can make connections in that regard.

Shallow

Indie OC you really reach a new low to go after someones looks.

You must really hate Myers; for what I dont know but your hatred is not transparent towards Myers or any other GOP.

I wonder how much Johnny Jump to it is paying you? I mean Adler is nothing to look at either.

Myers wins

Wow

Great debate.

Both candidates did well.

Curious, still, about why Adler does not come out and release his testimony regarding his directing money to his wife's employer.

Why is this different then when Bryant directed money to his employer? Sure the dollar amount is different but that shouldn't make a difference. The law is the law and Adler should come out and release his testimony.

Oh, and the reference that Myers is pointing this directing of State money to Adler's wife's employer is somehow attacking his wife is silly and an attempt to deflect the controversy to a matter of sympathy.

Bottom line is when a lawmaker directs money to their or their spouses employer is corrupt. Certainly if it were so noble, Greenwald, chair of the Budget committee, should have submitted the request in the budget and Adler should have abstained.

That a secret slush fund was created is deplorable and Adler should release his testimony.

Shelly Adler

I would like to find out how much money was spent on Johnnys wife shellys campaign for her council seat - and from where.

Shelley Adler

Democrats don't really have to campaign for council in Cherry Hill, but, by all means, explore any conspiracy theory that will keep you busy.

I also don't think directing $10,000 to your wife's employer for traffic lights, police equipment, and AIDS testing is as big of a deal as you're making it.

Bottom line: The Burlington County Bridge Commission, and Myers's refusal to take a stand on the issue, is much, much more troubling.

Wayne Bryant

Myers "connection" if any to Bridge Commish has far far less to do than Adlers connection to Wayne Bryant and his direct dealings with him.

Completely irrelevant

Myer's has no connection oversight, control, or influence of the commission.

Adler has oversight, control and influence of the State budget and the creation of and distribution of slush fund money.

Wayne Bryant is in court because he was arrested for directing State money to his employer.

Adler is ducking questions regarding his role in directing money to his wife's employer.

The dollar difference is irrelevant. Stealing is stealing whether it is a TV or car. Big difference in price - but the act is the same.

If Adler has nothing to hide, he should release his testimony.

let's move on, but first...

We should be speaking of the substantive issues for this campaign, including comparing Myers' pro-endless occupation Bush-Cheney stance on Iraq vs. Adler's proposal for phased redeployment. We should also be comparing their conflicting views on abortion rights: Adler is pro-women and pro-choice, while Myers thinks that a woman's reproductive system should be property of the state. On the economy, we should be talking about both candidate's opposition to the federal bail-out and why Myers perceives the economy as "basically strong" despite all evidence to the contrary.

But, no, we're instead talking about faux issues such as slush funds (Adler did nothing illegal) and Myers' possible connection to the BurlCo Bridge Commission and its corruption. Myers, of course, voted to give the Commission continued bonds from Medford (source below), and he ensured that Paulsen's law firm, Capehart and Scatchard, continued to serve as bond counsel for Medford. Scott Rudder, one of Myers closest confidantes, is part of the so-called "Paulsen 20," and Paulsen lackeys and corrupt pols Chris Russell and Bill Layton (not to mention the ethically-challenged Jeff Sagnip) are Myers' campaign manager and spokesperson/aide, respectively. Though I do want to get to the bigger issues and policy differences, I think that Myers' actions here are absolutely fair to criticize.

Marty at a party

Yeah yeah - another 6 degrees of seperation argument and why we all know Kevin Bacon.

One question, and it really is a yes or no question:

Is it ethical to give taxpayer money to your spouses employer? Yes or no?

Depends

Yea if it's not illegal. It's not like Shelley Adler took home any of the whopping $10,000.

I bet Bernie Platt saw that small amount as an insult anyway.
