Bergen County Democratic spokesman Bill Maer issued a statement today expressing confidence that the indictment of two of its leaders -- Chairman Joe Ferriero and counsel Dennis Oury -- will not hurt the organization in the November election.
“The Bergen County Democrats are going to run a great election in November with great candidates. We don’t think this will affect the results. We’ve run a great government and we’ll run on our record,” he said.

"Our record"?
Is poor Bill Maer deluded enough to believe he has an actual hand in governance? I can't wait for this hump to be shown the door. Don't let the door hit ya where Yahweh split ya!
What's that?
Whats that Baghdad Bill? US agents are nowhere near Bergen?
Minister of Propaganda's last gasp tragic but funny.
Imagine this. Like scene from a wierd Mel Brooks movie. Herr Maer ( Bergen Gobbles), Ferriero, Oury and the Bergen Dem Freeholder clan not to forget the plumber of Paramus, all hiding in their underground bunker deep underground under the BCDO. Chanting Victory 2008 !!!! prior to taking cyanide pills
I heard they are $700K in the hole
Joe F. stiffed everyone. With a bad ticket, Obama at the top and Joe's problems, the GOP will actually outspend the Democrats this year.
Great canidates?
Who might that be?
The coin collector who got booted from Fair Lawn by 1,000 votes?
How about Bernadette McPherson, who got smoked by 1,600 votes last year due to her ridiculous support of EnCap?
How about that sweetheart buy out of two cops for $500K at taxpayer expense?
There best candidate is Walton and he couldn't get re-elected in Englewood!
The party is broke and party is over.
Bill Maer will be out as well once he realizes they can pay his outrageous consulting fees.
Bergen County is a headless monster totally in chaos and turmoil. There isn't one person within the county with the political skills or legitimacy to put this back together again.
Vote Column "A" - All the way!
Mark Rushmore
Thank you - you truly made my morning.
Wizard of Oz?
"Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain" would have been a better comment for Maer.
