Biden's son brings tears to the New Jersey delegation

Not surprisingly, the New Jersey delegation was thrilled with Joe Biden’s speech tonight.  But among three delegates, the most powerful moment was Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden’s introduction of his father.

Beau Biden’s recounting of the family’s tragic narrative, when he and his brother survived a car wreck that killed his mother and infant sister, struck State Sen. Loretta Weinberg (D-Teaneck) particularly hard.

Listening to his son speak and seeing him come out, that was very powerful,” she said.  “You could see the son’s eyes welled up with tears, appropriately so.”

And what about Biden’s speech?

“He was vintage Biden,” she said.

Assembly Speaker Joe Roberts (D-Camden) called the speeches extraordinary.

“I thought it was extraordinary. I was incredibly moved my Joe Biden’s story, by his son’s introduction. It’s clear why he’s on the ticket – he’s going to be a tremendous asset,” he said.

United State Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-Paterson) removed his glasses just after Beau Biden finished to wipe the tears from his eyes.  And just after Joe Biden’s speech, he recalled his first meeting with him, remembering the date exactly: September 13th, 1983, when Biden spoke at the Democratic State Convention in Atlantic City.

“I had tears.  It was from the heart.  His son didn’t miss a bit.  We could put up with a gaffe by Joe Biden for a while because we just love him,” he said. “He’s a man of character and intellect and he gave so much to this ticket.”

Is Biden for real?

I am a bit fatigued by all this Obama hoopla. However, Sen. Biden clearly went overboard. Is there anything that Obama cannot do? Is there anything that Obama was not right about? Give me a break. Obamamania in its highest I would say. Is there any dose of reality that is relevant to us that Democrats could mention? O yes, the elections have been canceled because Democrats already elected the President. Wait a minute! Aren’t voters supposed to do it in November? However, let’s not spoil the bacchanalia for Democrats now. Is this the change we can believe in? I doubt it. By the way, Obama was supposed to be nominated in a democratic roll call among delegates. Did you see that roll call? I do not think it was a democratic one either. It reminded me about Democratic bosses’ back room deals. Yes, this is the change we can believe in. Really?

Oh shut up you hater.

Oh shut up you hater.
