Mahwah NJ – Mahwah Mayor Richard Martel and  Council President H. Lisa DiGuilio, councilmen Alan R. Kidd, John DePuzzo and Samuel Alderisio have endorsed Kevin O’Toole for State Senate in the 40th District and his running mates, incumbent Assemblyman David Russo and Wayne Mayor Scott Rumana for the General Assembly election in November.Â
Martel said that O’Toole and Russo have been effective representatives of Mahwah in the state legislature. “They have been in Trenton fighting the Democrats’ runaway spending and phony tax reform schemes and they have been there for us on local issues, said Martel.  “I know Kevin will continue to do and outstanding job for us in the state Senate.
DiGuilio said the vote getting power of the O’Toole, Russo, Rumana Team, makes them the obvious choice for the district.
“We need proven winners at the top of the Republican ticket and certainly the O’Toole ticket has demonstrated its ability to run well-funded, successful campaigns,â€? she said.Â
O’Toole 42 has represented District 40 for six yeas in the Assembly. Russo, 53, has served in the Assembly since Assembly 1990. Rumana, 42, has served as mayor of Wayne for more than five years, and previously served four years as a Passaic County freeholder.Â
District 40 is comprised of: Cedar Grove Township, Franklin Lakes Borough, Little Falls Township, Mahwah Township, Midland Park Borough, Oakland Borough, Ridgewood Village, Ringwood Borough, Verona Township, Wanaque Borough, Wayne Township, Wyckoff TownshipÂ
