I would like to thank the Republicans who came out to vote in the Republican Primary and those who supported me personally in my bid for re-election to New Jersey’s 40th Assembly District. Serving the residents of Passaic, Bergen, and Essex Counties in Trenton has truly been an honor. I have worked along with other Republicans in the Assembly and we have fought hard – working to reduce government spending and taxes; fighting to reduce government spending; saying NO to the Democrats’ misguided policies (like Governor Corzine’s affordable housing mandates which threaten to destroy our communities); protecting our families and children; and trying to make New Jersey a better place to live, work, and run a business.
It’s quite clear, however, that my fellow Republicans and I cannot make the kinds of changes that our state desperately needs alone. We need more like-minded Republicans in the Assembly and State Senate. We also need a Republican Governor – ready, willing, and able to tackle New Jersey’s toughest issues.
That’s why I am asking for your help and support once again – because while one election is over . . . another has just begun. We need to work together to elect Chris Christie the next governor of our great state. We also need to unite in our efforts locally to elect Republican Freeholders and municipal officials who believe that bigger government is not better government and that if something is broken it needs to be fixed, not ignored.
Observers may question whether the Republican primaries have weakened us as a party. I don’t. I believe that the primaries have energized us and highlighted the fact that we all agree that the Democrats’ run in state and local governments have practically run us all in to the ground. The primaries also have the potential to make us even stronger if we’re able to focus on the issues that mean the most to us all.
I ask you to please join me in the fight to put an end to Governor Jon Corzine’s Democratic machine and the Passaic County Democrats’ and their failed policies, and oppressive taxes and mandates. Together we can make New Jersey number one in all the right categories.
Thank you.
