So what?
Seriously, who cares? Lonegan is a nobody wholly created by the media. He was a Mayor in a small town, got crushed in every effort to move up, runs a made up "grassroots" organization, and has little more than a big mouth the media can always go to for a quote.
I care.
Steve Lonegan is one man of conviction in this state of corruption. I respect his opinion more than the usual Country Club RINOs.

He also has strong skills as
He also has strong skills as a flip-floppers on core issues that may slightly change if he makes it to a national election. It's no small fact that a group of the major papers in Mass. endorsed McCain over Romney for President.
It's akin to Gore losing Tennessee.
Just who is Bill Brennan ?
Who Cares,
Lonegan will be remembered long after Bill Brennan
Steve L.
Who cares about Lonegan. Lonegan is the reason we got stuck with RINO - Forrester in 2005, when we would have been better of with Bret Schundler.
Camden Beer just voted for Huckabee!
Romney doesn't want to go back to the "Reagan- Bush" era. Enough said.
Didn't Romney vote for Jimmy Carter? or was it Gary Hart? I can't remember.
Still voted for Rudy
I still voted for Rudy. I waited four long years to vote for him for President and there was no way I was changing my vote.
Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds- Albert Einstein
A match made in ...
... heaven? I hardly think so. Lonegan has far more in common ideologically with Ron Paul than Mitt "the mighty morphing power ranger" Romney. It would have taken guts for Steve to stand on principle like Mike Doherty and publicly back the most consistently conservative candidate in the field.
Given Lonegan's new found lust for acceptance by the Estabrooks of the world and the keeper of the never-ending wallet, Willard Romney, it is safe to say the last man standing in the fight to preserve conservative values in the Garden State is MIKE DOHERTY. Maybe Lonegan thinks Uncle Mitt will dump some cash into his pet project AFP. Or maybe he's looking down the road to 2009 for some electoral seed capital. At this point it doesn't matter. Like Bret Schundler before him, Lonegan has betrayed his core constituency in a pathetic attempt to embrace those who never liked him and never will support him. Bye Steve. I used to respect you. No more. Can you say Doherty 2009!!!
Right on Martin two
I am shocked that Lonegan didn't endorse Ron Paul for President and Murray Sabrin for Senate, In fact I think I will hold it against him. Cross me off the list Steve, I will spread the word to Ron Paul supporters. You are officially one of "them". Good luck with your new found Romney base. Maybe Mike would make a good Gov.
