STENDER/FERGUSON DEBATE TO TAKE PLACE SUNDAY AT RARITAN VALLEY COLLEGE
Ferguson Agrees To One Debate, Says He's Too Busy For More

Scotch Plains, NJ -- Linda Stender and Rep. Mike Ferguson will meet in a debate on Sunday, October 29 at 2 p.m. at Raritan Valley Community College.

The debate will be sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Hunterdon County and will be moderated by Laura Jones of News 12. Linda Stender challenged Mike Ferguson to four debates -- one in each of the counties represented in New Jersey's 7th Congressional District -- but Ferguson said he is too busy to debate more than once.

"We've been saying since day one that we will debate Mike Ferguson anytime, anyplace," said Linda Stender for Congress campaign manager Ed Oatman. "But Mike Ferguson has avoided our challenge of four debates because he is trying to run from his record on the issues that matter most to voters. Linda Stender will not let Mike Ferguson run from his disturbing record on the issues and will hold him accountable come Sunday at the debate."
