LD 9th Democratic Candidate Get Thumbs Up From NJ Women’s Political Caucus
Richard Visotcky Recommended by WPC, while no mention of female opponent.
At a press conference in the Statehouse on Tuesday, the Women’s Political Caucus announced that among the candidates they were recommending for election to the Assembly was Richard Visotcky.
Visotcky and his running mate, Robert Rue, will be facing incumbent Brian Rumpf and DiAnne Gove, selected to replace former Assemblyman Daniel Van Pelt, who resigned after his arrest on Federal Bribery charges in the upcoming November election.
“I am humbled and grateful to the Women's Political Caucus of New Jersey for recommending my candidacy for the 9th District Assembly. I believe in advancing the principles of the WPC and look forward to working closely with the group as a member of the NJ Assembly,” he said.
Gove was not on the list of 27 female incumbents or challengers, both Democrat and Republican, endorsed by the WPC. The Caucus gives endorsements to female candidates and recommendations to male candidates.
