HILLSBOROUGH, NJ, August 22, 2007- William Kole, State Assembly candidate for the 16th district, is calling into question opponent Denise Coyle’s commitment and ability to serve constituents. Kole believes that Coyle is out of touch with the responsibilities of public office, as evidenced by her statement last evening about the Somerset County Park Commission. “I feel strongly that the park commission as it is now is an outdated business model and has produced a culture that necessitates dramatic and immediate change,” Coyle was quoted in The Courier-News.
William Kole is deeply concerned that Coyle, a 12 year member of the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders, is now questioning the Park Commission business model. “Where has Denise Coyle been for the past 12 years? The culture that has evolved in the Park Commission happened because the Board of Chosen Freeholders looked away; it has been business as usual, and now that the unethical behavior and practices have surfaced, Coyle makes a statement. I believe that if the scandal never broke, Denise Coyle would never have made any statement, let alone an empty statement of lip service. If Ms. Coyle views the Park Commission business model as outdated, where has she been for the past 12 years? Is she now concerned with these practices because an Assembly seat is up for grabs? I believe Ms. Coyle is out of touch with business models and her constituents. I don’t know why she thinks she can represent the 16th district in Trenton, when she doesn’t even know what’s going on in Somerset County. The people of the 16th district are not fools and they deserve much better representation than what Ms. Coyle can offer.”
William Kole is the Democratic candidate for the 16th district in the State Assembly. Kole is running on a message of fiscal responsibility, higher ethical standards, and total constituent accountability.
