HILLSBOROUGH,NJ, July 13, 2007-Democratic Candidate for the 16th Assembly District, William Kole, is calling for a full forensic accounting of the financial management of the Somerset County Parks Commission. Mr. Kole is calling into question the lack of fiscal oversight of the Somerset County Parks Commission by the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders. Mr. Kole is also questioning the commitment of Freeholder Deputy Director Denise Coyle for accountability to the taxpaying public. Ms. Coyle, the Republican candidate for the State Assembly in the 16th District and current Deputy Director of the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders, has yet to make a public statement about the recent ethical issues surrounding the Somerset County Parks Commission. Mr. Kole is raising a concern about Ms. Coyle’s motivation in running for the Assembly seat, as well as her ability to represent and protect the people of the 16th District. Ms. Coyle has called for higher ethical standards and better fiscal management in Trenton, yet, the Kole Campaign wonders why Ms. Coyle has not been a vocal and visible advocate for these benchmarks while serving as a county freeholder since 1996. William Kole is committed to pushing for a full disclosure on the Parks Commission issue, while pressing candidate Coyle for a statement as to her position on the troubling situation with the Parks Commission. The Kole Campaign stands strong in its commitment to the taxpayers and intends to remain vocal, while Deputy Director Denise Coyle remains silent.
