Paramus Republican Candidates Call for Oury's Immediate Resignation

For Immediate Release                                              Contact: Matt Kazmierczak  September 9, 2008                                                     (201) 274-9831

Paramus, NJ – Republican candidates for Paramus Council Cathy Bentz and Maureen O’Brien make the following joint statement in response to the news of the indictment of Attorney Dennis Oury.

“Mayor Tedesco and the all- Democratic council, including our opponents, supported the appointment of Dennis Oury to the position of labor attorney, without any public discussion or dissention on their part. Again, another example of the "Good Old Boy Network" that they just can't break away from.  Let's see how long it will take for the boys to call for Oury's immediate resignation. We'll be anxiously waiting to hear, preferably from our elected officials and not their paid spokesperson. This shouldn't take long, as they always agree on everything. It is not enough just to move him from the position of Borough Attorney to the position of Labor council it is time for the Paramus Council to join us in demanding his resignation.”
