NJEA launches new issues advocacy campaign, NJ Kids and Families

In an effort to put the focus on the issues that matter most to New Jersey’s children and families, the New Jersey Education Association is launching a new media campaign today, “NJ Kids and Families.”  The statewide campaign will include a television spot, an interactive website, online advertising, and outreach through social networking websites.

Aimed at shining a spotlight on the education and health care matters currently in the public debate, this initiative is part of NJEA’s ongoing commitment to making its members’ voices heard on important issues related to the education of New Jersey’s children.

The goals of the campaign are to:

  • increase public awareness of these issues;
  • provide information about where the candidates in the Governor’s race stand; and
  • present an opportunity for citizens to express their views to the candidates.

The campaign will debut Monday, Oct. 5, with the launch of a new website, www.njkidsandfamilies.org, and multi-media messages.

The NJ Kids and Families campaign will highlight issues that NJEA has long supported in the public arena:  high-quality public education for children from pre-school through college; quality, affordable health care for children and their families; adequate funding for public schools; and help for at-risk children and their parents.

The campaign is sponsored by NJEA as an issues advocacy campaign.
