DeCroce Says New Jersey Cannot Afford Democrat Control Any Longer

DeCROCE SAYS NEW JERSEY CANNOT AFFORD

DEMOCRAT CONTROL ANY LONGER;

CHANGE IN TRENTON IS NEEDED NOW

Trenton, NJ- Saying New Jersey taxpayers can no longer afford to live under a Legislature and governor's office controlled by Democrats, Assembly Republican Leader Alex DeCroce led a press conference today calling for voters to change Trenton when they go to the polls on November 3.

DeCroce was joined at the press conference in the Statehouse by Assembly Republican incumbents and challengers seeking office in November.

"New Jersey taxpayers have endured out-of-control spending and increased taxes for too long," said DeCroce, R-Morris and Passaic.  "Only by changing the leadership in Trenton can we change the bleak future facing families in this state.  It doesn't take courage to raise taxes like our counterparts have for the last eight years, but it does take courage to cut waste and reform the way state government operates.

"Unlike Jon Corzine and Chris Daggett who have promised to raise taxes, Republicans stand in opposition to that approach," continued DeCroce.  "We will not support any effort to place more of a burden on New Jersey's families by continuing the pattern of taxing and borrowing in order to sustain needless spending."

DeCroce pointed out that Republicans have offered a blueprint for putting New Jersey back in the hands of the taxpayers, titled "A Common Sense Plan for an Affordable New Jersey."

Among the highlights included in the plan is a requirement that any tax increase be approved by a two-thirds super majority vote in the Legislature, submitting any new state borrowing to the voters for approval and limiting increases in the budget to the rate of inflation.

"Our proposal offers a new roadmap for the way Trenton goes about conducting the people's business," stated DeCroce.  "Requiring a super majority in order to increase taxes means 53 votes would be needed in the Assembly instead of 41.  That would have prevented Governor Corzine and his legislative allies from putting the state on the edge of bankruptcy.

"Common sense dictates that we cannot continue down the path Democrats have led us," said DeCroce.  "Republicans can deliver the change voters want, not more of the same failed policies delivered by the other side of the aisle."

Say no to Christie and Corzine. Vote Daggett

Don't by that GOP non-sense that Daggett is a plant funded by Corzine.

Fact is Daggett has no funds at all.

Futhermore, Chris Daggett nailed Christie and Corzine for corruption in 3rd Debate

You really have to hand it to Chris Daggett. Not only did he stand toe to toe with Jon Corzine and Chris Christie he really nailed it to them in the 3rd NJ  Gubernatorial Debate. Once again, for the third time in a row, I give this as a notch for Daggett.

Chris Daggett handed it to both Christie and Corzine for corruption saying to fight corruption you need to lead by example.

Daggett then cited specific corrupt activities that Christie and Corzine had engaged in, including illegal campaign finance and pay to play, and neither Corzine or Christie could defend themselves.

Instead, Corzine acknowledges that activity is going on and agrees with Daggett that it needs to stop.
