Marks and Vastine Stage Successful Gala Event in Scotch Plains

Momentum Builds with "A Night Under the Stars"

Scotch Plains, NJ- Former Scotch Plains Mayor Martin Marks, Republican candidate for State Assembly in District 22 and his wife Lori, recently hosted a Gala at their home in support of the candidacy of Marks and his running mate William "Bo" Vastine.  The event was billed as "A Night Under the Stars with the NJ Republican Stars".  In attendance were 7^th District Congressman Leonard Lance and his immediate predecessor Mike Ferguson.  Also present were Assembly Republican Leader Alex DeCroce, the entire District 21 legislative team of Senate Republican Leader Tom Kean, Jr., Assembly Republican Whip Jon Bramnick, and Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz, and Union County Republican Chairman Phil Morin.

Congressman Lance stated, "District 22 is the key race for Republicans to win in order to recapture the General Assembly. In my opinion, we have the right candidates and the right message necessary to break the stranglehold Democrats have had on our State government over the last decade."

Assemblyman DeCroce added, "There is no question that Martin Marks and Bo Vastine are part of the equation that brings the Republican Party back into the majority in the Assembly, which will work with future Governor Chris Christie to enact a common sense plan to rescue our state from the fiscal and ethical mess that has plagued New Jersey under the Corzine administration."

Bo Vastine proclaimed to all assembled, "This election represents a line in the sand; either we all accept the challenges and work to roll back the over-spending and over-taxation in New Jersey, or we risk losing more and more residents who cannot afford to live here".

Marks and Vastine enjoyed the company of nearly 100 supporters who turned out for the event and packed the Marks home to make the evening a financial success.  Marks said, "Bo and I are grateful for the tremendous show of support here tonight and for the confidence in us expressed by Congressman Lance, Assembly Leader DeCroce, and the respected Republican leaders who also joined us."
