(CINNAMINSON) - Assemblyman Jack Conners, chairman of the Assembly Military and Veterans Affairs Committee, today issued a multimedia package documenting his 8th Annual POW-MIA Remembrance Ceremony.
The annual breakfast, held on the national POW-MIA day of recognition - traditionally the third Friday of September - honors the commitments and sacrifices made by New Jersey's and the nation's prisoners of war and those who are still missing in action.
According to Conners (D-Camden), who first began hosting the event in 2002, the ceremony helps veterans and the public remember the promise made on behalf of all prisoners of war, those missing in action and their families - that we will not rest until they are all accounted for and brought home. The event also serves to commemorate the sacrifices made by New Jersey's POW-MIA population through the awarding of the New Jersey POW-MIA medal.
The multimedia package consists of a video press release of the ceremony, audio of same and photos from the ceremony.
The video can be accessed directly via our Web site - www.assemblydems.com - or by clicking here.
The audio file is available upon request.
The photos can be accessed via the Assembly Democrats Facebook page or by clicking here.
